Inspection standard for food packaging printing

cigarette, snack food, children's nutritional breakfast and other carton packaging made of environmental friendly material paper or paperboard, after being processed by various printing methods, the ink is attached to the paper, Will there be harmful substances transferred to "we use a little graphene (about 1%) Improved heat dissipation performance of footwear. How to test the safety of ink prints on food

we know that the packaging materials after printing have different degrees of smell, which depends on the composition of the ink used and the printing method. First of all, it should be noted that the emphasis is not on the smell it emits, but on the substantive impact of the packaging formed after printing on its contents

as we all know, taste and smell are chemical senses, and their stimulation is the result of biomolecular reactions. Scientific research shows that different positions of the tongue will produce sour, sweet, bitter and salty taste effects, and the smell is more sensitive, which can get the deformation of the sample and quickly smell the subtle smell, but it is also easy for the nose to stop working due to fatigue. Therefore, it is usually recommended that perfume manufacturers do not continuously identify more than three kinds of fragrance. Then, how to detect the odor of packaging and printing materials and what is the detection standard? There is a detection method used in the German printing industry

1. Gas chromatography

gas machine chromatography uses gravure printing package to check whether it has manually changed the revised value, calibration value or other information content in the main parameters of hardware; Packaging materials are widely used in the production. The content of residual solvents and other odors on printed packages can be objectively determined by gas chromatography. In the process of gas chromatography analysis, the gas passes through a separation column and is measured by the detector. Even a small amount of gas can be detected. Flame ionization detector (FID) is its main detection tool. Connect the detector to PC to record the time and the amount of gas leaving the separation column. The free monomers can be identified by comparing with the known fluid chromatography. At the same time, the content of each free monomer can be obtained by measuring the peak area and comparing it with the known volume. When investigating the situation of unknown monomers in folding cartons, gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (MS) are usually used together to identify unknown monomers by mass spectrometry. In gas chromatography, the headspace analysis method is usually used to analyze folding cartons. The measured sample is put into the sample vial for heating, so that the analyzed monomer vaporizes and enters the headspace. The subsequent process is the same as the test process described above

2. Robimson test method

defines the Robinson test method in the influence of German standard DIN log55 packaging materials on the taste of the test object. For printing, people are concerned about the influence of solvent residues after ink printing. This is a thin-film secondary battery that forms a solid electrolyte on a resin film. Therefore, printers usually use the improved Robinson test method (mhm) to achieve the purpose of detection

in the process of detection, print with 1.5%m2 ink on the surface of the substrate, and then rotate the printed matter and the finished packaging products, such as chocolate, for a certain time (about a day), and then judge the taste of the packaging. The results are usually divided into five grades: no change in the taste of grade 0; 1. It is difficult to distinguish the change of taste; 2. The taste changes slightly; 3. The taste changes to a certain extent; 4. The taste has changed significantly. Sometimes, some people carry out detection under actual environmental conditions, such as putting the carton into the high temperature 75%rh for detection. The result of this is usually quite different from the method specified in DIN log55

the above two methods quantitatively detect whether the influence of ink on the smell and taste of packages after printing is safe through practical means, thus providing a clear method for evaluating whether carton packaging and printing are environmentally friendly and safe. China's printing plants and corresponding departments can refer to foreign advanced testing methods and international standards to formulate testing methods and standards that are in line with international standards and in line with China's production conditions, so as to promote the development of the printing industry
